OVEN CLEANING FAQS
How long does an oven cleaning appointment take?
This depends on the appliance type and condition. We’ll provide an estimate when booking, but as a rough guide most appointments take between 1 and 3 hours:
- Single oven: 1–2 hours
- Double oven: 2–3 hours
- Range cooker: 3–4 hours
- Aga: varies depending on size
Do you use dangerous chemicals?
No. We only use non-caustic, non-toxic and environmentally friendly cleaning products in your home. Our specialist cleaning solutions are designed to effectively remove grease, carbon and burnt-on food without harsh fumes or unpleasant odours in your home.
Our dip tanks are kept in our van and do contain some chemicals. However, these are thoroughly washed off from your appliance using fresh water from our van, so no chemical residue is left.
Can I use my oven before you arrive to clean it?
No. For obvious health and safety reasons we need your oven to be completely cold before we start cleaning. Please avoid using it for a few hours before your appointment.
Can I use my oven straight away after it's been cleaned?
Yes. Once we have finished cleaning and reassembled all removable parts, your oven is ready to use immediately. We will always test your appliance is in full working order before we leave your premises.
Do you clean between oven door glass panels?
Yes. Where the oven design allows, we can dismantle the door and clean between the glass panels, removing trapped grease, stains and debris.
Do you protect my kitchen floor and worktops?
Absolutely. We always use protective dust sheets and work carefully to ensure your kitchen is protected throughout the cleaning process. We also clean up after ourselves and leave your kitchen tidy before we leave.
How often should I have my oven professionally cleaned?
This depends on how often you use your oven. Most households benefit from professional oven cleaning every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage;
- Every 6 months for heavy use
- Every 9–12 months for average household use
- Before Christmas or other busy entertaining periods
- Before moving home or putting your property on the market
Regular cleaning helps maintain efficiency and prevents excessive grease and carbon build-up.
What types of ovens and cookers do you clean?
We clean virtually all domestic ovens and cookers, including:
- Single ovens
- Double ovens
- Electric ovens
- Gas ovens
- Fan ovens
- Built-in ovens
- Aga cookers

BBQ CLEANING FAQS
